Size May Vary
It is important to note that handmade rugs may vary from their advertised size as a result of their construction methods, while power-loomed rugs may vary in size due to the machine looming process. Usually, no more than a 3-inch difference is seen on either side.
Pattern Variation by Size
In certain rugs, there may be a slight difference in the way the pattern is displayed when purchasing a size other than a 5'x8' or 8'x10', as is typically used in product photography. For instance, the pattern on a 2'x3' or a runner rug may contain a larger print or a portion of a pattern when compared to the image seen on the same rug in a larger size.
Rug Pad Recommended
We recommend an anti-skid rug pad be used with this rug, to prevent unwanted sliding and shifting. A rug pad can be additionally useful at creating added cushioning under a super-low pile rug, and it can help protect your hardwood or tile floors from wear.
How to Remove Curls and Creases
Wrinkles will happen but are not permanent. Place a heavy object or a few books on each corner for a couple of days to smooth out the curves. Alternatively, lay the rug upside down for a day or two to allow it to relax and flatten naturally.

Choosing a Rug for Your Living Room
The right size rug you choose depends on your furniture and furniture placement. For a 5’x8’ rug, you can position all legs of the furniture on or off of the rug. For an 8’x10’, you could place the front legs of your furniture on the outer edges of the rug, and for a 9’x12’, all furniture can be placed directly on the rug for balance.
Choosing a Rug for Your Bedroom
In the bedroom, the size of the rug you choose depends on your bed size. A twin size bed likely only needs a 5'x8' rug. For a Full and Queen, a 7'6"x9'6" or 8'x10' size is recommended. For a King or California King, an 8'x11' or 9'x12' (or larger, depending on the size of your room) works best.
Choosing a Rug for Your Dining Room
Depending on the size and shape of your dining room or a kitchen table, you can cover the floor under all chairs with a large rectangular rug, or opt for a round rug in the instance of a round table. Vacuuming regularly is recommended here!
